Here’s another one that has me more than a little bit bent:

My kids need someone to co-sign as a guarantor for housing in a fucking college town.

I went to school in the same place - I NEVER had to do this. Landlords knew college kids were poor.

Of course, there aren’t really local landlords anymore. They’re all run by corporations. So my kids are just another credit score.

Apparently we have moved from abortion to data centers as the key issue defining the single-issue voter.

I expect most of them understand the nuances of what constitutes a data center as well as most understood abortion.

Completed an archetypal tarot spread this morning… one thing is clear - I’m in a bit of a soul stagnation moment, and I really want to move out of it. But part of moving out of it is going to be figuring out what I truly value. And that’s going to be an adventure of balancing the rational vs. the irrational and seeing through a lot of illusions competing for my affections.

I’m experimenting with adding additional features to my Discord bot. This one allows me to post notes to my Hugo-built static website, which are then POSSE’d out to Bluesky and Mastodon.

The rule of three is penal substitutionary atonement. Stated as if it’s true for everyone. Turns out it’s mostly the Wiccans.
